Welcome Hope to Lucky Dog Rescue!!! Hope is an approximately 11yr old Chihuahua weighing 8lbs. Hope and her daughter Ruby were surrendered to a partner shelter in Texas when their owner could no longer care for them. Ruby and Hope will be heading to Wisconsin and will arrive on Sunday November 13th. Hope is a calm and gentle senior lady. She loves to cuddle up with her people and nap. When she isn’t snuggling with her people she loves lying in the sun in her bed. She is a very laid back and relaxed dog that would love a quiet and calm forever home. Hope is fully blind but it doesn’t slow her down. She gets around very well without issue and does stairs and steps like a champion. Hope does well with other calm dogs and cats and would be ok with older more gentle kids. Hope’s adoption fee will include all vaccinations (rabies, dhlpp, bordetella), microchip with lifetime registration to the rescue, 4dx test (heartworm and 3 tick borne illnesses), flea/tick prevention, deworming, spay, dental cleaning under anesthesia with extractions if needed, full health exam, health certificate, 6 months of heartworm prevention to start in the spring, collar, harness, leash, warm coat and premium dog food to get her started. Like all of our Texas groups we are posting her and the others a good week before they are set to arrive in hope that they have families waiting for them. We try to minimize the number of times they are bounced between homes which is very stressful on them. We are taking deposits (half of the full adoption fee) to hold the dogs until families/adopters can meet their pups on November 13th. If the meet is not successful and you decide not to adopt I will refund the deposit in full. This way the dog is on hold for you until you decide to move forward or not. This is the most fair way for the dogs so they don’t miss out on other adoption opportunities and so the people that truly want the dog don’t miss out. This method has worked best over the last 8yrs rescuing dogs from the south. Many of the dogs in the November 13th group are low shedding and will receive many applications. They will be spoken for very quickly. If you would like to apply for Hope or any of our other Rescues please visit www.luckydoggyrescue.org Hope will be located in Fond du lac, WI as of November 13th.
