Welcome Robbie to Lucky Dog Rescue!! Robbie “Handsome Rob” is a 6yr old male Black and Tan Miniature Pinscher with docked tail and cropped ears weighing about 17lbs. He is a very tall and muscular boy. Robbie came to Lucky Dog Rescue all the way from an owner in California that couldn’t have him anymore and wanted the best rescue for him. Robbie was originally dumped at a Californian shelter as breeder release where his original owner found and adopted Robbie. He is 100 percent all min pin! He can be protective and possessive of his owner with other dogs in the house. He can be a bully so he would be best as an only dog. He adores older kids, in fact he took to his 10yr old foster brother and sister before he took to his foster mom and dad. In California he was quite the runner and escape artist. This is one of the reasons his owner wanted an experienced min pin rescuer to take Robbie. In the right home he will flourish but in the wrong home he will likely escape and never be seen again. It took them 3 weeks to catch Robbie and realized they were not the perfect home for him. He must have a secured tall fence and even then must be watched closely. He has very powerful and muscular legs and can jump quite high. Robbie also needs time to warm up to his people. He is not a dog to be friendly right away and must learn to trust his people first. Being used as a daddy dog he is undersocialized and would benefit from doggy daycare and obedience classes to help him be social and challenge his incredibly smart brain. Robbie isn’t a dog for everyone just like the min pin breed. He would benefit from an experienced min pin owner. He does amazing in his foster home with his family after just a few weeks. Robbie’s adoption fee includes all updated vaccinations, microchip with lifetime registration to the rescue, 4dx test (heartworm,Lymes, erlichiosis and anaplasmosis), heartworm prevention while in rescue, flea/tick while in rescue, health exam, health certificate and neuter. Robbie is located in Fond du Lac, WI. To apply fill out an application on our website www.luckydoggyrescue.org.
