Welcome Trey to Lucky Dog Small Breed Rescue!! Trey is a 4-5yr old Miniature Pinscher/Miniature Dachshund mix weighing 10lbs. Trey came to Lucky Dog as a transfer from an Indiana shelter where he wasnt doing well in a shelter environment. Many small breed dogs get very stressed and overwhelmed in shelter environments. Trey was rescued by a Good Samaritan that saw him get hit by a car and taken to the shelter for help. Trey did end up losing his leg due to the injury but is very healthy now and recently made his journey to Wisconsin. Hello Wisconsin my name is Trey! Trey- you know like a 3 point shot in Basketball!! Go March Madness!! I have made my journey here in search of my "forever home" Don't get me wrong I am loving my foster family and the nice people who fixed up my bum leg at the shelter. I guess it was banged up pretty bad after a car hit me! The surgeon just couldn't save it but I do just fine with the three legs I have. I can outrun all my foster dog brothers and sisters! I love to run and play! I do stairs like a BOSS!! I race my foster mom up the stairs and always win! I keep a close eye on her as I prefer my people by my side! Partners forever! My foster mom calls me a Velcro dog because I stick by her all the time. I don’t want her to get lost. I’m a lap dog so I prefer to be on laps all the time! I will stick to you like glue!! I can be a ball of energy and would love a home with another small dog or kids to keep up with me! Is it you? My foster mom thinks I am a typical insecure small dog that needs patience and understanding. I’ve never been to doggy school and my foster mom says I can be kinda stubborn, lol! I like things kinda slow at first but once I am comfortable I won't stop smothering you with affection. I am vocal because I don't want you to forgot about me so an apartment wouldn't work out for me. I tell my foster brothers and sisters when it’s time to play and remind my foster mom when it’s time to eat! A fenced in yard would be my dream! I would do well with other dogs who are submissive because I’m the boss. I hope the other dogs will want to play because I love to play. I potty outside or on pads. In Indiana I used to have a lady who loved me but I found myself at the shelter anyhow because she couldn’t help me after I was hit by the car. I was so scared...sad..and anxious. Now I just want to see what's next and I am ready to go! Show me the world...or at least Wisconsin..Come meet me and I will decide if you are what I am looking for...Bring me cheese I hear it's good here...
